Starting September 2nd, due to a $385,558 budget reduction, Sunderland school children will no longer have the same access to art, music, computers, library, gym and other programs that have been the heart and soul of the school for the past 20 years.
Sunderland School Committee Accepts Funds - Art and Music Return
The Sunderland School Committee has accepted the funds we have raised and have reinstated the art and music Teacher back to the school. During the October 20th meeting, they will allocate any additional funds to try and restore other positions/services. The school committee have recommended bringing back the professional librarian and a technology teacher for 1-2 days a week.

Your donations are still being accepted. Your tax-deductible dollars will go directly to save core services for the ~200 elementary students at the school.
How Your Money will be Used
The money raised from this special fund will reinstate key programs and the staff to support them. Full music and art have now been restored, and now we are looking to restore the librarian and technology teachers. New Leadership. New Energy
This year, our school has a new leader in Principal Tim Merritt. Together with our school committee, PTO, Superintendent, teachers and support staff, they are determined to make Sunderland Elementary a stronger and more dynamic school.
